Stackato has enabled a level of empowerment for our developers that previously was not possible. Instead of quickly developing apps and then running into the brick wall of IT backlogs, developers can literally run with their apps straight to the cloud.

Placement and
Availability Zones

Stackato 3.2 lets you distribute application instances across multiple data centers and/or on specific sets of DEA machines.

Need to protect sensitive data? You can ensure that certain application instances only be deployed to specified DEAs.

Similarly, you can distribute application instances to DEAs with preferred hardware, or multiple DEAs to guarantee availability.

Stackato 3.2 provides greater insights into memory usage through the web console.

Four new dashboard views show a summary of used, allocated and available memory across your clusters, usage across all available DEAs, and usage by Placement and Availability Zone.

Additional Dashboards

Auto-Scaling CloudStack

Simplify your cloud orchestration even further, with automatic resource scaling of Stackato DEAs on CloudStack and Citrix CloudPlatform.

Stackato 3.2 automatically scales applications to meet demand without having to write additional scripts or use third-party services.

Now you can automatically ensure application availability during peak usage periods, while ensuring efficient use of resources during low usage periods.

Application Auto-Scaling

Single Sign-On (SSO)
for Applications

Enforce your organization's security requirements by requiring users to be authenticated before accessing applications, even on a publicly accessible network not protected by VPN.

One click is all it takes to enable authentication on multiple applications without having to customize each one individually.

Achieve stronger compliance with improved control over user permissions.

Administrators can now require authorization based on groups (e.g. only people in the "IT" LDAP group have access to Stackato), and assign privilege levels based on groups (ie. set everyone in the "IT" LDAP group to be an admin, and everyone else as a non-admin).

More Granular User Permissions

Apply security and other patches to multi-node Stackato environments without application downtime, and with more flexibility.

Nodes can be updated individually or excluded from receiving specific updates. Patches are logged and can also be reverted if desired.

Kato Patch Enhancements

Stackato now offers greater ease of use on Amazon AWS with the ability to use Amazon RDS for Oracle as a database option.

Why our users love Stackato

ExactTarget Logo
Chris Turra

It made sense for us to go with Stackato because it is based on Cloud Foundry... ActiveState has productized that in a way that we are happy with... The support is definitely a big factor.
